This website has been created by David Baldwin, an experienced writer, editor and public speaker based in New York.
This site will include all things solar: news, trends, ideas, opinions, random thoughts… the ongoing saga of the worldwide implementation of this vital renewable energy source. To the discussion of this very serious and important topic, I hope to add not only my own very distinctive point-of-view, but, at times, a much-needed dose of humor.
David,
I hope all is well.
I work for Whirlwind Steel Buildings in Houston, TX. We manufacture buildings out of recycled steel and install solar panels on metal roofs.
One of our goals is to educate consumers, builders, architects and the likes as to how they can increase their bottom line while at the same time considering the environmental and social impacts of their business decisions.
We’ve got a feature on our website that I thought might be a good fit for your readers. It’s a ‘Solar ROI Analysis’ calculator that we provide at no charge. You simply input the building specifics, including dimensions, tax rates, etc. and we produce a return on investment analysis.
The page is located here: http://www.whirlwindsteel.com/content/solar/roi-analysis.cfm
It’s a great tool for anyone interested in how they could benefit from the installation of solar roofing panels on a metal building.
Thank you for your time.

Dear David
read your comments on Julia Butterfly’s blog.
i was at that event for Common Fire too and agree it was wonderful.
i’m writer, editor, small press publisher living, on Long Island. As far as the “new paradigm” much of my writings and spiritual path have to do with that. i’m working on a book of poetry that will also give ‘activist suggestions’ for ways to improve the world, so if you have any suggestions feel free to let me know.
Also, there’s a wonderful radio show on WBAI called First Voices Indigenous Radio with Tiokasin Ghosthorse http://www.firstvoicesindigenousradio.org and wbai.org has the shows on archive or live thursdays 10am-11am.
Also, Tiokasin, a Lakota, is giving a talk and discussion in Sayville on Long Island on June 12 from 4-6pm, i’m helping to organize so let me know if you’re interested, he’s a wonderful speaker and musician and more.
blessings,
Mankh (Walter E. Harris III)
